We are exceedingly proud of the exceptional performances of our team, Abakaliki Football Club, in the recently concluded Presidential Cup competition. After playing an intense final match with Kwara United FC, they emerged as the second-place team.
Given that they are a youthful team, their performances and sporting dispositions exceeded our expectations in the typical course of football affairs. Consequently, we are genuinely pleased of them.
We encourage them to demonstrate greater commitment in the future. The team, staff, management, fan club, and all units of the football club have made us proud and firmly established our identity among the footballing states of the Federation. As a state, we have expressed our gratitude to them as a symbol of our appreciation and motivation for their efforts.
